Robert Fanning is the author of Old Bright Wheel (The
Ledge Press, 2003). Fanning's poetry subjects range far and wide: from
the creation of new words for the male sex organ, to the appearance of
three different Christs on daytime television, to how a Ferris Wheel resembles
marriage. In his new collection, American Prophet, his poems chart
the journey of "some sort of pre-apocalyptic-possible-visionary"
into America's malls, highways, farms and coastlines. To read his bio

He was a featured performer at thedetroiter.com's first Evening
