Last spring I had the good fortune to encounter Detroit transplant Steve Panton's work at Alley Culture. His unique blend of photography and history was quite compelling. Panton captured an emotional and educational quality that seemed a perfect fit for the pages of thedetroiter.com, and so I sought him out to see if he was willing to contribute something to the magazine.
