"Art
Inside" will take place inside the old General Printing
building where Mark Baykian of Magnetic Recording runs his
studio. There will be small and large artwork on display for
sale in a range of prices. ($10 and up)
Mark Sengbusch
is interested in Architecture and Objects. He paints on Plexiglas
exploring the space between line and shape. Sengbusch has
an MFA from Cranbrook('08). He lives and works in Pontiac.
Cindy
Kemp uses frescoe techniques to produce the vibrant colors
in her paintings which reference pre-Colombian art. Kemp lives
and works in Pontiac.
Comora
Tolliver focuses on the idea of the futuristic landscape exploring
the transition of nature through paint. Tolliver has an MFA
from Cranbrook(08'). She lives and works in Pontiac.
Carl Oxley's
Pop Art paintings feature thick-black-lined cartoon iconographs
like Robots, Fruit, Birds, Diamonds, and Monkeys. Oxley lives
and works in Hamtramck.
