Kids
young and old are invited to have lunch with Santa on
immediately following the parade through downtown Mount
Clemens. Santa Luncheon tickets are $10 per person and
must be reserved no later than November 25, 2008.
The
Anton Art Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
and Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm; Friday, 10 am to 6 pm; and
Sunday, 12 noon to 4 pm. The center is closed on Mondays.

Anton Art Center, the hub for the arts in Macomb County,
is located in historic downtown Mount Clemens on the southeast
corner of Southbound Gratiot Avenue (M-3) and Macomb Place.

The
Anton Art Centers annual Christmas Market opens Enjoy
the atmosphere of a Winter Wonderland as you shop for unique
gifts and décor.
Featuring
work by over 100 artists, Winter Wonderland includes art
works in all media. Perennial favorites who are once again
a part of the market include Eastpointe metal sculptor Tom
Crimboli; Catherine Bur of Gaines, who crafts purses out
of magazine covers and other media; and found-object artist
Daren Dundee of Clinton Township.
Returning
after a few years absence is Chris Pawlik of Anchorville,
who makes lamps, decorative vessels and sculptures out of
gourds. Among this years new artists is Steven Pankiewicz
of Columbus who crafts affordable wood bowls. Many others
are participating in the market for the first time
come and enjoy a variety of handmade items, and support
Michigan artists!

The
Anton Art Center (AAC) is committed to the advancement of
the arts through quality exhibitions, advocacy and educational
programs for Macomb County. Its mission is primarily educational:
to foster and develop interest in the arts among people
of all ages and backgrounds, whether its in the creation
or appreciation of the arts.
AAC
is the only facility of its kind in Macomb County, and it
underwent a $1.6 million expansion and rehabilitation in
2006.
AAC
presents a quarterly schedule of educational programs in
various media for youth and adults, annual events, monthly
exhibits, is a regranting agency for the Michigan Council
for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
