Established
in the Depression years of 1932-1933, The Detroit
Artists Market was founded by Mrs. H. Lee Simpson
(a Detroit art patron). Artist, collector, and member
came together to attend garden sales, lectures, group
shows, among other cultural affairs.
The
Gallery is open from 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays through

The Detroit Artists Market is located near the Detroit
Institute of Arts, and Wayne State University. Exhibitions
are open to the public and free-of-charge. Parking
is available in the lot directly behind the DAM Gallery.
