Holiday Objects Up and Down Exhibit and Fundraiser

At Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) we’re getting ready to fill our galleries with fabulous handmade works and artful objects of all kinds just in time for the holidays. These unique gift items are created by Michigan artists working in all media - glass, ceramic, painting, fibers, jewelry, toys, metal, mixed media and more. PCCA is taking in artwork of all kinds, from formal to funky and everything in between. You’ll find traditional favorites like hand-blown glass ornaments and Pewabic Pottery, alongside exciting new works by artists from all over the state.

Holiday Objects Up and Down will open with two special events: an early morning shoppers’ extravaganza featuring special discounts for our members; and a spectacular opening reception, with an exclusive silent auction of a few special artist donated items. Both events take place on Saturday, November 22. The shopper’s preview will run from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The reception and silent auction will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. All items will be cash and carry. Proceeds from the silent auction will provide support for PCCA’s exhibition program.

Join us for some holiday gift shopping, festive music, a delicious array of hors d’oeuvres and sweets from area merchants, and an opportunity to mingle with artists, collectors and art lovers from all over the region.

Holiday Workshops

Forego the stress of holiday shopping with a jewlery-making, fabric, or mosaics with pewabic tiles workshop. In just a few hours you could go home with an elegant byzantine bracelet, a soft cuddly toy, or a mosaic table made with pewabic tiles. With your newly attained skills you'll be inspired to continue creating beautiful gifts for all of your friends and family. Students need to register at least one week prior to their workshop of choice to ensure there are enough materials for each participant. To register for a workshop, please call PCCA at 248.651.4110.
