Filmmaker's Brunch
Beginning
this Sunday September 23, the Detroit Film Society
is presenting a weekly Filmmaker's Brunch at Studio 601.
Studio 601 is a new performance venue on the corner of
Congress and Washington Blvd, across from Cobo. (601 Washington
Blvd, 48226,)
The brunch will begin at 12:30pm and reservations are
required ( 313 712 9233). Cost for brunch and the program
is $16. Did I mention Mimosas? The film program without
brunch is $6. Screening will begin at 1:30pm.
This is an opportunity to meet local filmmakers and familiarize
yourself with our vibrant filmmaker scene here in Detroit.
We are looking for filmmakers to showcase and hope to
grow this into a must go film event in Detroit.
The current schedule is:
September 23 Mike Madigan One of the Directors of 'Inzero'
and the creator of fan-film, "Demeter Surrender"
as well as "The Candle", Mike is a prolific
short filmmaker and a master of getting into festivals.
Ask him about Sundance.
September 30 Aaron Trudgeon Based in Ham Town, Aaron is
in post of "After the Bloodrush", a vampire
film. In addition he has made a slew of cult classics,
some of which we will screen.
