This
annual event features the artwork of both full-time and
adjunct faculty members. Photography, painting, watercolor,
printmaking, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, textiles,
ceramics, metalsmithing, and mixed media are all represented,
thus highlighting the work of this diverse and talented
faculty.

renowned art educator Dr. Terry Barrett.

Bruce T. Halle Library Auditorium (lower level) on Oakwood
Street on Eastern Michigan University's Ypsilanti campus.

lecture is relevant to everyone, artist and non-artist alike.
It is free and open to the public.
Dr.
Terry Barrett is Professor of Art Education, The Ohio State
University, Columbus, Ohio, where he teaches courses
in photography criticism, art criticism, and the teaching
of criticism and aesthetics. He is especially concerned
with the interpretation and multiple social and personal
meanings of images. He believes that honest dialogue about
images can further understanding and appreciation of the
complexities of life, people, oneself, and ultimately contribute
to world peace.
Barrett's
books include Criticizing Photographs, 4th ed., McGraw-Hill,
2006, available in Chinese and Farsi; Criticizing Art, 2nd
ed., McGraw-Hill, 2000, available in Korean; Interpreting
Art, McGraw-Hill, 2003; Talking about Student Art, Davis,
