Poetry and blues collide Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bedford Branch Library. Urban folk poetry and song by Detroit’s Blair meets traditional country blues and gospel by veteran musician Rev. Robert B. Jones in a new look at the common ground shared by African American literary and music traditions. Each artist will present a solo set and perform together for the first time.

Blair has received international recognition as both a performance poet and singer songwriter. Robert Jones is regarded as the area’s finest acoustic country blues and gospel musician and the host of WDET FM’s “Deep River” gospel show.

The event is free and open to the public.
