(SCENE) Metrospace, is announces the opening of its latest exhibit: Detroit 2D.
Detroit 2D will be unveiled at a special opening reception on Friday, May 15 from 5-9:30 p.m. at (SCENE) Metrospace. The opening is free and open to the public.
Detroit 2D is an art exhibition that focuses on artists whose work is informed by their Detroit experience. Featured artists will include David Brainard, Karen Khalifah, Kathy Leisen, The Taormina Brothers, Vince Troia and Corine Vermeulen-Smith.
The Detroit 2D exhibit will run May 15-June 28. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and check out the exhibit any time during regular gallery hours: Thursdays from 2-5 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 2-6 p.m. and Sundays from noon-4 p.m.
(SCENE) Metrospace is East Lansing’s city-funded contemporary art gallery and performance space. It is located at 110 Charles St. in the colorful Division Street parking structure, next door to Georgio’s Pizza.
