A rare done, sometimes funny, sometimes poignant serio-comedy by Neil Simon exploring the relationship among three people: Herb, a 40ish not-currently-successful screenwriter, his teen-age daughter, Libby who aspires to be an actress, and his all-too-tolerant girlfriend, Steffy. Herb had abandoned his family years ago, and amidst the angst of his creative downturn his daughter appears unexpectedly and causes him to confront his lack of success with past and current relationships as well. A moving study of the conflicts and resolutions among a group of characters developed by Simon with depth and sensitivity interspersed with humor than takes the edge off the bitterness and frustration.

Auditions are Sept 1st and 2nd from 6:00 pm to 9:30 on both days.

Show Dates: October 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 and November 1, 5, 6 and 7.

Please prepare 1 to 2 monologues about 1 minute in length.
