Taslimah Bey’s Ragtime Band

Taslimah Bey’s Ragtime Band performs music in the Ragtime tradition, featuring the compositions by jazz legends Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller. Taslimah Bey is a regular performer at Jazz and Ragtime Festivals across the country, including Preservation Hall in New Orleans and the Scott Joplin Festival in Sedalia, Missouri, home of Scott Joplin.

Drop-in Workshop: Simple Adornments
6–9 p.m.
(12 and under must be with an adult)

Create imaginative jewelry using common materials in unusual ways.

Drawing in the Galleries for Youth
6–9 p.m.
(Ages 6–14, children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult)

Artist/instructors help participants create pencil drawings to take home. No experience necessary; materials provided.
