Art Detroit Now: SATORI CIRCUS in “No Fixed Address”

An Art Detroit Now/Event

On October 2, 2009 (Friday) SATORI CIRCUS will embark upon a four-hour performance that will travel along Woodward Avenue, from East Kirby to Martin Luther King BLVD., over to Cass Avenue.

The plan is to perform at each gallery mentioned below, for a period of 10 to 20 minutes; each site with its own unique performance – some pre-orchestrated and some improvisational.

Art Detroit Now is an art event that begins that Friday at 5p, and goes to Saturday, the 3rd. S.C. will start his tour at 6p (Fri.) and will perform at the various locations (listed below along with the exhibitions currently running at that time) until approximately 10p. Performance schedule has been discussed and arranged with these venues and with Mr. Marc Schwartz of ADN. Additional information can be found at ADN’s site: www.artdetroitnow.com

Performances will take place indoors, outdoors and in route. There is no gate/entrance fee. Open to one and all.

TreTrever Long, a CCS Senior in Photography will be lead photographer during this migration/journey, and Tim Suliman, owner of Jitney Studios in Hamtramck and drummer for Eastside Elvis, will be lead videographer. However, we encourage everyone with a camera or video camera to come on out and join in on the event for Art Detroit Now and SATORI CIRCUS.
