Resonating Journeys reflects on the mystery and nurturing power that comes from our communion with nature, both as meditative observers and as co-creators. The exhibit features the photography and paintings of Chrissy Deiger, Sandra Difazio and Gabrielle Pescador.

Deiger is a photographer, based in Toledo, and defines her work as an experiment of poetic exploration, revealing an interconnectedness between the viewer and image. The spiritual self, nature, and the subconscious are resonating themes in her work. Deiger has worked on photography projects at the Anderson Ranch in Colorado and the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite National Park.

A traditional oil artist and avid plein air painter, Difazio’s art is a reflection of her

appreciation of the beauty in every day occurrences and her sensitivity to the fragility of the ever-changing landscape. An award-winning artist, Difazio has exhibited in numerous juried and solo exhibits. Her artwork can be seen at the Wild Acorn Gallery in Manchester, in the Founders Society of the Flint Institute of Arts and the Collectors Corner in the Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio. Difazio resides in Ann Arbor.

Pescador’s painting confronts transformation, shape-shifting and the uninhibited manifestations of fragmented experiences, unveiling images imprinted in memory and self-generated dreams. The processes of becoming, manifesting, reinvention and rebirth constitute the core of her painting in a contemporary, introspective and intense progression of shape, color and texture. Gabrielle Pescador is an Ann Arbor based artist, originally from Windsor, Canada. She has presented her artwork at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, as well as at different galleries and museums in Ann Arbor, East Lansing and Ypsilanti.
