A special printmaking class is being offered this Earth Day at the Anton Art Center. Lineoleum Block Printing: Patterns of Spring is for adult students of all levels. Make your own decorative or functional prints for $35 plus a $25 material fee.
A variety of other classes for adults and children will be offered at the Anton Art Center this spring and summer, on subjects such as clay, drawing and painting.
New this term is a series of hands-on workshops for adults – make a ceramic planter, paint tiles and try wet-felting wool!
Two series of workshops aimed at children ages 6 through 12 will help budding artists develop their painting and drawing skills. Both a beginner’s series and an intermediate series will be offered, with all workshops taught by Mount Clemens artist Carolee Schmid. Kids can take one workshop, or all of them!
Advanced art workshops for youth ages 10-13 will also be offered over the summer, with one focusing on 2D art and another on 3D art forms.
Complete summer class information is available at www.theartcenter.org, or by calling the center at 586-469-8666. Enrollment is now open, and many classes fill quickly. Early registration is encouraged.
