The Russell Gallery is proud to present Acid Forest: New Paintings by Malt/BrownBagDetroit. Malt began his career as a teen writing graffiti on the streets of Detroit, and in the years since, has evolved to include canvas as his primary vehicle. Malt’s bold style and investigative mind have garnered him first place honors at the Hip Hop Olympics Graffiti Art contest in 2004 and 2007. Malt’s professional arm, BrownBagDetroit, boasts a client roster that includes Coca Cola, Sirius Satellite Radio and Discovery Networks. Acid Forest opens Friday, May 7th and runs til Sunday, June 13th. Opening reception will be Friday, May 7th from 6 – 9 pm.
