Welcome to the artworld Studio West!

Work Skills Corporation has opened Studio West, the Home of Art with a Heart – a new art gallery in Brighton Michigan. Studio West will showcase the artwork of persons with disabilities and others who support them, through art classes and art therapy programs. Friday night, November 18th, Studio West opened its doors to an excited and very supportive crowd. The atmosphere was celebratory with live music, hors d’oeuvres, and drinks being served around the gallery. A variety of work was professionally displayed such as: abstract mixed-media, watercolor, acrylic paintings, and gift items. The featured artwork for the evening was the beautiful large scale portraits by artist Paul Collins from the collection of John Barfield. Collins has been mastering his techniques since he began drawing as a child and fifty years of experience has proven him a master and worthy of the award one of the top 20 figurative painters by Watson-Guptill Publications.
Don’t miss this great exhibition!
