Their Beginning: The space is (reputedly) a former mattress factory, with 14’ ceilings and approximately 150’ of wall space. It opened in March 2008.
Hours and Location: 2739 Edwin is just West of Joseph Campau, and 4 blocks North of Holbrook in Hamtramck. The gallery is on the second floor. There is public parking on Joseph Campau, and various other locations including 2 lots just North of the building.
Regular Hours are typically 12-5pm during shows (check on the website), or other times by appointment.
Mission Statement: No set mission, but the gallery is inclined to solo shows by artists who are not over exposed in the city, and to work that is approachable but thought provoking.
