Their Beginning:
The Detroit Art Exchange Gallery/Museum is a visual arts gallery/museum, conference
center, restaurant and entertainment center. According to Jan Goffney,
executive director and former museum employee for 20 years, “We’re located
in the lower Woodard corridor … Our logo represents the unity of our four
distinct cultures, African, Native American, Asian and Middle Eastern. We
do historical exhibits.”
