ORG Contemporary presents “Alpine Meadow”, a solo exhibition by the New York based artist collective Cornrow Rider. A reflection on time, the exhibition acts to illuminate the parallels between celebration and decline. Alpine Meadow is made up of nine frosted cakes on various sized pedestals which over the course of exhibition will grow stale, decompose, and ultimately collapse.

The collective was established in 2008 as a platform for several artists to work collaboratively crossbreeding genres, backgrounds, identities, and
work habits. Members of the collective have exhibited independently and collaboratively in both galleries and museums world wide.

The works aim to confront the paradox of the current age by illuminating the process in which regional economies, societies, and cultures have become integrated through a globe spanning network of exchange.
